About Jennifer Ingvoldstad, BCTMB
Jennifer is a Nationally Board Certified Bodywork Therapist, Abdominal Therapy Practitioner, CranioSacral Therapist, Massage Therapist, Shiatsu Therapist, Birth Worker and Yoga Instructor. She also uses cupping therapy and moxibustion when applicable. Jennifer has been in full private practice since 2003 and has also managed various wellness centers in which she created the wellness programs and services and trained the therapists. She also taught at the school she graduated from, Centerpoint Massage and Shiatsu Therapy School and Clinic.
Jennifer found her deeper passion for the effects of massage therapy when studying Maya Abdominal Therapy with Rosita Arvigo of Belize. Introduced to this powerful work through Kim Hart of Adagio Holistic Therapies in Minneapolis, Jennifer began her studies with Kim Hart and shortly after continued on with Rosita Arvigo. Her practice began to thrive with those seeking her expertise. A few years later, she travelled to Belize to further her studies and certifications in the therapy. She immersed herself in the culture, working and studying for 8 months. After returning home, she decided to return back to Belize to continue working and living. Feeling closer to nature and community through her lifestyle, she lived much of the next decade in Belize.
Now Jennifer has a thriving practice in the Bryn Mawr neighborhood of Minneapolis where she first began her career in bodywork. She continues to feel most inspired by the Abdominal Therapy working with those on a fertility journey, during pregnancy, post partum, those transitioning through menopause, digestive support, those on a trauma healing journey, and chronic or acute pain patterns. She frequently combines therapies in her sessions bringing an intuitive touch to her sessions.
Education and Experience
When I decided to become a bodywork therapist, I sought out the most comprehensive program available. I then continued my studies with the Arvigo Institute as well as the Upledger Institute as well as teaching, owning my own business and later managing a couple different wellness centers. I continue studying and enhancing my techniques. Currently I manage my own practice including several corporate onsite's and collaborate with multiple colleagues.
